Rock Nights

Hey Ho' Let's Rock!!!

Rock Nights was born in Ibiza during the summer of 2006, and now takes place monthly, throughout the year. In 2008 get ready for 6 special episodes in the summer season!

Rock Night’s founders and hosts are glamorous rock
chick Daisy Heartbreaker (DJ & Artist) & Mr. DC ("Dirty Cash"), who is in charge of the “dirty business” under the title of General Manager and both of them are proudly announcing that, prime Spanish artist Marcos Torres, has recently joined the team.

The result is a “time bomb”, 3 of the most popular faces
of the “indie - underground” scene in the White Island who now will be "brain storming" new ways to bring people
together to have fun, to rock, to punk, to headbang & to celebrate other artists' creativity. It all happens at the Rock
Nights multidisciplinary & multicultural space.
Rock Nights club is a new & unique indie-party vision
where art works from local, national & international
underground contemporary artists are showcased in fusion

with the Rock Nights concept that offers a mix live
soundtrack of Rock, Alternative, Punk, New Wave &
Electronica beats dropped by Daisy Heartbreaker, guest
DJs & live acts mixed up with Pop paraphernalia & Kitsch
Art to create a great atmosphere. A different & successful event in the ibicencan nightlife for you to enjoy or get trashed, to celebrate or get fuc***... All with its unique Arty Party style. Feel free to discover it for yourself.

MD D.C
Underneath a well-fitted “General Manager’s” suit, a real Elvis’ fan & rock lover is revealed, with music tastes ranging from the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll to the latest Arctic Monkeys’ CD. If Elvis’ two greatest passions were music & girls, there’s no doubt that Mr. DC’s passions are rock music and… hotels. A sneak into his contacts’ book finds connections with hotels, airline companies,

tour operators and all the travelling agencies of Ibiza. If Mr. DC had been born in Las Vegas instead of the White Island of Ibiza, he would be the “boss” in the most famous gambling & entertainment city in the world. Mr. DC lives to make any kind of business,

although “dirty business” is an exception, even though his nickname “Dirty Cash” could suggest the opposite.

He wakes up everyday with more than a thousand new projects in his head or thinking of ways to improve how the tourism

industry works in his beloved island. Ibiza is an island where Mr. DC knows everybody without exception. His career as a

director and heavyweight in the entertainment business makes him a “rebel with a cause”, he’s worked hard to gain great

experience, mixing work & entertainment, hotels & rock in Ibiza, Mallorca, London, etc.

DAYSY HEARTBREAKER

From Mexico to L.A., from the Hollywood Hills to Ibiza Town, and now from the heart of London back in Ibiza with “Rock Nights”'d3, this exotic rock chick is like a Rolling Stone, crossing borders with her unique female DJ attitude. Daisy arrived

in Ibiza in 2002, delivering a humble but pioneering sound for the new Millennium, playing alternative indie mixed with Britpop and old school rock, and she became a beacon for alternative sounds on the island long before Pete Doherty turned up and Ibiza went Rock!.

In 2007, Daisy Heartbreaker’s focus was to tear up the rule book in the UK with her IndiePunkRockAlternativeNight “'Love & Rock Hits” and creating the “High Voltage” party hosted in Soho at the infamous “'Sun&13Cantons” basement. She has

a strong reputation in the English capital following her work in the Balearics and her guest spots with BBC Radio DJ – Rob da Bank’s Sunday Best and Bestival empire.

Daisy also became a regular at the Jamm in Brixton, warming up for the indie

fraternity’s DJ converts including members of Oasis, Stone Roses, New Order or Primal Scream. In Summertime ’07 she was invited by beer SOL to join a tour around the UK & Scotland with the SOL-SET gigs sharing the DJ Booth with Unabombers, Rob DaBank, Pete Gooding & the Supafly Collective, in this way she became the only female & Mexican reference in this tour. As a DJ she has been featured in different kind of international press publications like Pacha Magazine, The Guardian’s Guide, M8 Magazine, The House, 24K , Ultima Hora, La Jornada, WARP, DJ Concept, etc…

MARCOS TORRES

Art and rock music has not been better fused than displayed today with the work of Marcos Torres. His work is the visual representation of the sounds of music that fascinates him, from The Kinks, Sonics, Love, Velvet Underground and Bowie

to Black Sabbath, The Clash, Blondie and The Hives. Once you are attracted to his powerful and sensual graphics, you get trapped into a universe that is dominated by colour and visual impact. It makes you feel that the next thing that could happen would be a song emerging from his designs.

Marcos Torres is well recognized for his T-shirt collections and his graphic art exhibitions. His collections count with the converted and loyal fan base that follows his work, with all collections selling out upon issue. His collections of graphic

art in serigraphy have been exposed in Stuttgart, Brighton, Madrid, Santiago, Leon, Palma de Mallorca and, of course, in his hometown of Ibiza. Torres’ unique style has a strong link with the music world and pop mythology but, most importantly, his art work is able to transmit a real passion to the audiences. His work has attracted mass-media interest and has been featured in TV shows like Cuatrosfera (Cuatro), Ipop (La2) o Basico (TeleMadrid), interviews and press articles for Mondosonoro, Tendencias, Alterego, El Mundo, Lamilk, FHM, Vogue, Rolling Stone, Marie Claire, etc…
