Ibiza is a member of the Group of Spanish cities inscribed on UNESCO's World Heritage of Humanity list.
The cities Alcalá de Henares, Ávila, Cáceres, Córdoba, Cuenca, Ibiza/Eivissa, Mérida, Salamanca, San Cristóbal de La Laguna, Santiago de Compostela, Segovia, Tarragona a Toledo are now members of the Group of Spanish cities inscribed on UNESCO's World Heritage of Humanity list.
The aim of the foundation was to establish a common attitude of Spanish cities inscribed on UNESCO's World Heritage of Humanity list. It is focused on support and maintenance of a certain form of life, which is essential for these historical centres. The cities cooperate in project’s elaboration, suggestion’s handing and share their common problems solutions.
The group organises together a lot of promotional actions. This fact is very important, because the promotion improves the knowledge of people and institutions with regards to cultural heritage and its protection. It is necessary that these values are protected and tourists should be informed about them. Especially those, who stay in Ibiza hotels.
Nowadays, the representatives of the cities are travelling to Holland and Belgium because of promotion. There are some promotional presentations supposed to take place in Amsterdam and Brussels.
