There are a lot of markets in Ibiza where you can meet famous hippies of Ibiza. But there is a special place where you can enjoy their music and art, this place is called Benirrás.
Benirrás is a special small cove where a lot of people come and a traditional drum party takes place.
The drum party is celebrated on the last day of full moon in August, but recently has been celebrated also on other Sunday’s afternoon. At sunset, during homage to the sun it’s possible to observe a great number of hippies playing drums while the bonfires and torches are flaming.
Moreover, you can find there as some stands, where the hippies present their handicraft products, as some kiosks.
As you know now, on Sunday sunset you can go there to enjoy the party as well as to visit some interesting places nearby, such as Torres de Baladí, the Cave of Ca Na Marca or the craft market of Portinax.
To get to Benirrás go down the street of San Miguel and follow the signposts.
