Ibiza, often called the WhiteIsland for its typical architecture,is one of the world's most important and popular tourist destinations. Being the westernmost island of the Balearic Islands, Ibiza has adapted its former marine form of life to modern times with unbeatable charm.
During the 1960s became an important centre of touristical attraction, being then famous for its "Hippie-Culture" and nudist beaches. Today Ibiza has a wide offer as well for families and older visitors, anyhow, still there are the young ones who are attracted by the island's rollicking nightlife, which already starts in the afternoon, at the beaches and in the center of town, to continue until dawn in the numerous discotheques.
The most beautiful of the Pitiusas offers visitors the chance to vanish among a large number of corners to enjoy nature and sea in places to rest calmly without noise.
Ibiza is a Phoenician-Punic settlement during ancient times and contains within its Renaissance walls an interesting legacy from different cultures such as Greeks, Punics, Romans, and Moslems. This can be found in the monumental area of Dalt Vila, the old quarter , which was declared heritage of mankind by the UNESCO in 1999.
We strongly recommend visitors to make at least one cultural visit during your stay, if you can resist the enormous attraction the beach exert us when we are on the island.
